Once you accept, the real magic begins. We handle formatting, ISBNs, and distribution setup. If you’ve chosen editing or cover design, our team of artisans joins you here, helping refine what you’ve already built.
4. The Unveiling
Your book is released into the world—through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Everdream’s shop, and international partners via IngramSpark. Whether you whisper or shout your launch, we’ll help you make it meaningful.
5. The Harvest

What Gets Deducted First?

Example: Paperback Sold on Amazon

How Recoupment Works (Quick Example)
Let’s say you opt into the Momentum Tier, recouped at 10%.

🔹 Normally, you'd earn $0.60 on a $1.00 sale
🔹 During recoupment, you keep 70% of that = $0.42 per sale.
You always keep at least 70% of your base share—and once we’re repaid, your full rate returns.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I have to pay anything upfront?
No. Everdream covers the cost of standard publishing (ISBN, formatting, distribution).
Optional services like editing, cover design, or marketing are offered on a recoupment basis—meaning we invest first, and you repay later through royalties.
How does recoupment work?
If you choose additional services, your royalty share is temporarily reduced until the cost is repaid.
📌 For example:
Let’s say you earn 60% on a third-party sale (like Amazon), and you’re in a recoupment period.
You’ll retain at least 70% of that share.
60% of $1.00 = $0.60
70% of $0.60 = $0.42
You’d earn $0.42 per sale during recoupment.
Once the balance is repaid, your full share resumes automatically.
What if I want all the services?
Will my royalties drop too low?
Nope. We’ve built safeguards to make sure that never happens.
Even if the combined value of your services (editing, cover design, marketing) would normally require a 45% royalty reduction, we cap the total temporary adjustment at 30%.
We’ll apply that 30% rate across your sales until the full balance is recouped.
This ensures you’ll always receive at least 70% of your base royalty share, no matter what.
Can I terminate the contract?
Yes. You can leave at any time with written notice.
If you’ve used paid services, you’ll be asked to repay the remaining balance.
We’ll send you a final invoice, and then part ways professionally.
What rights do I keep?
All of them.
You retain full ownership of your story, characters, world, and IP.
We only license the right to publish, distribute, and market your work during the term of the agreement.
Will I get paid on time?
Yes. We pay royalties quarterly, with detailed reports.
If we miss the deadline by more than 120 days, you can terminate the contract—and we add a 5% late fee to your next payout. That’s written into the agreement.
What genres do you accept?
Fantasy, Gothic, Dark Fantasy, Science Fiction, Romance, Horror, and other immersive fiction.
We’re especially drawn to emotionally rich, atmospheric, and character-driven stories.
What if I’ve already self-published?
We’re open to republishing select titles on a case-by-case basis—especially if you’re planning to relaunch, expand, or continue a series. Just note this in your submission.
Can I use my own editor or cover designer?
Yes—with shared creative responsibility.
You’re welcome to bring in your own editor, designer, or creative collaborators. We simply ask to be kept in the loop—especially for visual elements like your book cover or interior design.
Everdream retains final approval on any materials released under our imprint. This ensures that all published works remain aligned with our brand standards, code of conduct, and community guidelines.
We value bold, boundary-pushing storytelling—but we also uphold ethical, legal, and brand-aligned presentation. This keeps Everdream a safe, respected space for all our authors.

Do I need an agent to publish with Everdream?
No. In fact, we prefer to work directly with authors.
Everdream isn’t a traditional publisher—we don’t offer advances or buy your rights. We build creative partnerships based on trust, transparency, and human connection. That only works if we’re in conversation with the person who wrote the story.
If an agent contacts us on your behalf, we’ll kindly request direct communication with you before moving forward.
If direct access isn’t permitted, we’ll respectfully decline the project.
